Can I make a private booking?
Yes. Court bookings are available for families, casual groups, birthdays, school groups, corporate nights and events.
I've never played before but would like to try. What should I do?
Friday Socials are a great place to start. You can also send us an enquiry and we will help point you in the right direction.
Can I buy food or drinks at the centre?
Food and drink availability can vary by night. Check with staff for current options.
Competitions
Is ladies volleyball played at the centre?
Yes. Ladies' 6-A-Side is available on Tuesday and Wednesday nights.
Is men's volleyball played at the centre?
Yes. Men's 6-A-Side is available on Tuesday and Wednesday nights.
Is mixed volleyball played at the centre?
Yes. Mixed 6-A-Side is available Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Open pairs and Open 3-A-Side are available on Tuesday, and Open 4-A-Side is available on Thursday.
What days are games played?
Competitions run Monday to Thursday, with Friday Socials King of the Court on Fridays.
Fees & Payment Methods
Do I need to pay a registration fee to play volleyball?
No separate registration fee is listed. Teams and players pay the relevant weekly competition or social fee.
How much does it cost to play volleyball?
6-A-Side teams are $76 per week, Open 4-A-Side is $60, Open 3-A-Side is $57, Open Pairs is $46, Friday Socials are $22.50 for adults and $17.50 for under 18s.
Can our team pay for the season up front?
Please contact us to discuss advance payment options.
What happens if we owe money?
Teams with outstanding fees may be blocked from being fixtured until payment is resolved.
Forfeits, Rules & Policies
Most of our team are unavailable in two weeks. What do we do?
Let us know as early as possible so we can mark your team unavailable before fixtures are prepared.
How many players do I need on my team?
6-A-Side teams can play with up to six players and may still take the court with four or five. Open 3-A-Side, Open Pairs and Open 4-A-Side have their own format requirements.
How many male players can I have on court in my mixed team?
Mixed 6-A-Side teams are capped at 3 male players on court.
Do we need to have a uniform?
Uniforms are encouraged but not required unless advised for a specific competition or event.
What should we wear?
Wear comfortable sports clothes. Most players play barefoot on the sand. Remove jewellery and valuables before entering the court.
Are umpires provided for games?
Umpires are provided for regular competition games.
Our game is tonight and players have pulled out. What do we do?
Post in the Fill-Ins Group, contact the centre, or speak with staff. Forfeiting should be the last option and may incur fees.
Do we have to pay if we forfeit?
Forfeit fees may apply. Confirm the current fee policy with staff.
I was injured during a game. Am I covered by insurance?
Personal accident cover is not provided by the centre. Players should consider their own cover and seek medical advice where required.
I am pregnant. How long can I keep playing?
We support players making their own informed decision, but you should consult a medical practitioner about playing while pregnant.
Join A Team
How do I find a team to join?
Come to Friday Socials, join the Canning Vale fill-ins Facebook group, submit a player enquiry, or speak with staff at the centre.
I cannot commit to playing every week. Can I fill in?
Yes. Fill-in players are welcome. Join the Fill-Ins Group or send us an enquiry and we can help connect you with teams.
Juniors
Do you offer junior training or coaching?
Yes. Reds Volleyball Club run Kids Volley and Junior Volley on-site on Thursdays during school terms, with facilitated junior games after training.
Can I use a KidSport Voucher?
Eligible families may be able to use a WA KidSport voucher for junior programs.
Registrations, Fixtures & Leaderboards
How do I register a team?
Team registrations are completed online through Spawtz. Use the Team Registration link on this site, or contact us if you need help choosing a night or format.
Can I register a team now or do I need to wait until the new season starts?
Teams can usually enter at any time if there is space in the right competition. Contact us and we will confirm the best starting point.
Where do I find my game times?
Game times are available on the fixtures page. They are synced from Spawtz while the new website system is being built.
Where do I find the leaderboard?
Leaderboards are available on the leaderboard page and are synced from Spawtz.
When are fixtures released each week?
Fixtures are generally released every Friday for the following week. Teams should advise us as early as possible if they are unavailable.
Seasons & Finals
How long are the seasons and when does the next one start?
Season usually run for around 6 months, however they can vary. Contact us or check current competition information for the next start date.
How do finals work and how do I know if my team is playing?
Finals are based on ladder position, availability and eligibility. CVIBV generally follows a top-four finals format.
How do I know if I or my team is eligible to play finals?
Finals eligibility can depend on games played, availability and outstanding fees. Confirm the current season requirements with staff.

Team captains can manage players through their Spawtz player profile. Contact us if you need help.
How do I sign in each week?
Players should sign in at the centre each week via the sign in screen so attendance can be recorded.
